|
|
I am reassembling my pedals in my 931 (1979).
I see you can adjust the brake pedal and clutch, I lost my settings.
Does it matter how you set them ? _________________ 937 trackday car

Yes.
Both master cylinders must top out, or else they won't be able to self-adjust, and can result in the clutch never fully engaging or the brakes from never fully disengaging.
You'll be able to find definitive adjustment procedures with searching, or in manuals. _________________ 78 924 NA

My, how !helpful.
Adjust clutch to result in 2-3 mm free play at the pedal (distance until actuating lever touches the piston in the master cylinder).
Brake pedal actuating rod is much less finicky. Only rule is, if you have it too tight, the brakes will drag. I have mine adjusted so that the brake pedal, when depressed, lines up with the throttle pedal for heel toe purposes. _________________ Toofah King Bad

The instructions for the hydraulic clutch are not in Haynes or the normal 924 FSM. They are only in the Turbo-specific (Vol 5) FSM.
