Fellow board member george01 has been hard at work to get his sons 924 back on the road after the previous owner had removed some parts in an attempt to mod the car. I'm giving him a throttle body but the one other part that he needs is a solenoid valve 477 133 525 D, it mounts on the fuel distributor.
I did a search and found a previous post

from about 6 months ago that led to a Ebay listing(sold) for a aftermarket pierburg part (that's how I got the photo). He has already posted in the parts for sale forum with no reply. They are trying to make the PNWmeetup so any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Brian

Never seen one before.
It might help to know the details about the car it's supposed to be for. _________________ 78 924 NA

It's part of the CIS / fuel distributor assembly on the 79-onward NA cars. I don't know what it does (haven't bothered to check Haynes or FSM yet), but it has been purported in other threads to be related to hot start issues. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

(#7 just upper left of the fuel distributor)
I know, I didn't get what the heck George was talking about and had to go pop the hood on my car to see just what the hell it was and I'm still not positive but we think it has to do with the fuel return(yah I know, just a guess). Here is the one that's on my car. George and his son have the car running but say its way too rich when its cold.

I wish I could help, but I gave my FD to young Mr. Derek and I don't know if be has them anymore. Perhaps he could chime in?
I knew I should have grabbed the FD's from those two 924's in the PickNPull a few weeks ago :/
At least it will run with it missing or failed. _________________ Stefan

I have a working one overhere, but it is without the piece of steel where it is in. So basically,it can be only used when the valve is really stuck, but the holder is good. Unfortunally, if you don't have that piece it is worthless...
The purpose of this valve is to close the direct connection from the fuel distributor to the gastank when the engine is shutdown. So the pressure will stay high to reduce the warmstartproblem. _________________ 911SC - 1980 |
