I have a 78 924. The AC control knob turns to the right to increase AC temp. It also pulls out two positions for fan speed. My switch will not pull out to position 2 an 3. Do you guys think this is fixable or do I need to shell out $225 for a new switch. What could be stopping this thing from pulling out to the 2 and 3 fan speed settings. Has anybody had this problem.

Thanks, Jack

Remember that this is the early switch. It is a combination on/off/vacuum/temp switch with a cap tube attached. Not the one that was used up through 1995.5 944.
