Hey all, another question and hoping for pictures if you have them. I have gotten the car safetied and is now at home in the garage. I have two or three weeks left before my trip to Watkins Glen for the Zone 1 PCA 48 hours Drivers Ed event.
So question, like the subject is : Where and how have you mounted your fire extinguisher in your 924.
My thought is to get a simple clamp device and bolt it behind the passenger seat. Your thoughts and pictures are much appreciated. _________________ Cheers;

There are brackets available for the 944 and 911 that provide a place for the holder that comes with the extinguisher to bolt up. These brackets fit between the front seat mounting points and the rails on the passenger side.
A google search should turn some up.
Good luck! Also we'd love to see pictures and video of your car at Watkins Glen So while you're on Amazon shopping for extinguisher brackets, adding a GoPro to your order wouldn't be out of order ha! _________________ Stefan

It's only any good when in easy arms reach. So that's in front of the drivers or passenger seat. I opted for the passenger seat as I kept kicking it getting in and out with buckets and cage. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

There are specific requirements and you will need to meet them to pass tech. They usually go something like this:
1) must be within driver's reach when belted in
2) must be metal bracket
3) must be metal-to-metal mounting.
There might be more. Check with the sponsoring region.
You can get a nice bracket at any marine supply store.
Mine is on the center hump at my elbow so-to-speak. |
