Decided to reinstall my door windows and rear quarter windows. May have to leave car outside in the rain some day. Anyway, I bolted a 3/4" x 15" flat metal piece to the 'sliders' attached to the bottom of the glass. Then, I tied a nylon flat rope to that, and threaded it up thru the door. Once I lift the window in place was thinking of tieing off the nylon rope with an aquatic mooring cleat (had to look that up!). Or, if others have a better idea, I'm all for it. Have to remove door windows for track days.

Dave,
I removed the whole winder assembly and just drilled a 3/8" hole from the inside below the height of the glass when it is up. I stick a 3/8 piece of steel dowel in the hole and the window stays up to keep the rain out. I pull the dowel and remove the glass before I hit the track.

Hey Chuck, thanks for the tip. I was thinking of that, using a bolt or two as well. You have to position the glass with your hand anyway, so the nylon rope thingy is pretty worthless. I'll ponder this a bit more~!
