|
|
So I started thinking about does the N/A distributor change timing with overpressure, normally there is vacuum but in my case my 924 N/A is turboed so does the timing adjust work anymore on overpressure? and is there a difference in late 931 distributor to N/A? _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:

N/A has mechanical and vacuum advance,
once you hit boost there would be no advance from the distributor, you would want to retard the ignition if anything...

That will retard the whole ignition curve and mess with the entire powerband and idle...
IIRC the early 931 used a vacuum and boost adjustment on the distributor before they went to DITC. Keep in mind the ignition curve is set for a different combustion compression ratio and shape, it may work but i would plot the mecanical and v/b curves and see if thats what your after.
