so I have an 81 that its time to move, in one way or another. Its pretty much apart as is, engine is out already.
Block was cleaned honed/machined O-ringed and painted, head was cleaned and rebuilt, crank was polished.

Trying to figure if I get rid of it whole (as in who ever buys it gets everything/parts) or I part it out and send the chasis to the recycler?

I mean is it worth more in parts or the whole kit?

JMHO, but either way I think it might be hard to find buyers. Sadly, not a large market.

If I may apologise again to MikeDanger for my previous drunken foolishness...

I feel that you'll probably do better selling it as parts. But not a whole lot better.

If you can hold on for a buyer, though, you might do OK out of selling it in one piece...

We bought a whole Turbo engine (supposedly rebuilt and all), with a few extras, from The 'States, for $650.

Please don't send the engine to the wreckers. Check the head. If the head is in spec., those things are pure gold. The bottom end is worthless, they're all the same.

(I completely understand if my opinion is meaningless to you)

Some body parts to sell before you crush it. Nose panel, hood, etc.

You would be suprised... all depends on how much time you want to put into it. Breaking things into smaler chunks opens more markets. Parting will gross more but with more effort. Parting you would also need to have some room to stash some stuff away ( neatly so you don't get overwelmed in thinking its junk ) and you need to have the ability to develop a process to move it.

Post some pictures and maybe we can get a better idea of what you are up against . A picture speaks a thousand words some say.

All I gave been scraping are bare to the BONE shells with doors and bare torsion bar tubes and normally only the ones that had title issues.

Tubs with titles can move well like this also if you know how to sell off the chunks.
