I have in my possession engine hoods. After I painted my car [Jan] the hood bubbled. Had it repainted and the bubbles reappeared. Went on a hunt for a turbo hood and found one in Atlanta. After $360[cost and shipping] spent the hood was not in good shape. Hail damage but usable.

I spoke to Eric who is on this board who is my personal friend from NY now living in Fl. Sure enough he had a hood so he gave it to me. In the same place just over the latch was some rough surface. I removed the paint with
paint remover only to find pin holes in the same place just over the latch.

I plan on removing the foam material under the hood but over the latch and try to use POR 15 or lots of JB weld in order to build up the back or inside of the hood. You might say why not cut out the sick portion and weld a patch.
