Very cool Dan! What do you plan on doing with the new space? Will you only be working on your cars or are you going to be restoring 924's for customers? _________________ Porsche 924 1977 N/A

Cool, nice space Dan! Motivation to clean out my messy shed. When spring comes of course! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Congratulations it looks like a very nice setup.
Lucky guy, a bigger play room with big boy toys, and with the blond's approval to boot.
Can it get any better.
A+ for Ideola's Garage.
Best wishes.

| Sweet! I am envious of all the room you have. I can't wait to hear more about the garage as you move everything into it. Thanks for the preview! |

Thanks guys, very excited, of course!
To answer your question, Ty, we don't really plan to change the business model for Ideola's Garage...that is, we're not going to pursue becoming an "engine builder" kind of a shop...just too much liability, as I'm sure you're aware
We just outgrew the space we had at the house. My wife and I are both work-from-home consultants, so the office space is a write-off (primarily for her), and the garage is bonus. But it will facilitate some interesting possibilities. Too early to spill the beans on all of the ideas bouncing around, but suffice it to say, we do expect it to really help with expanding our product offering, improving our service (read: space for more on-hand inventory), and if nothing else, provide a really cool venue for local get-togethers.
An interesting side note: the building is situated right at the western-most terminus of the famous Edward N. Hines Drive, which follows the course of the Middle Rouge River for most of its length. Outside of Detroit, Hines Drive isn't that well known, but it is a hugely popular drive for local automotive enthusiasts (think GW Parkway for those of you familiar with DC).
Hines Drive spans from Dearborn (close to the Automotive Hall of Fame and the Henry Ford Museum) to Northville. Directly behind our property is The Inn at St. John's where the Concours D'Elegance of America is now being held. So all kinds of potential for driving tours and involvement with other automotive related activities. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

the place looks really nice
I'm affraid however you did not leave yourself enough room for inventory unless you plan on keeping this portion at home as well. _________________ 1979 924 NA |
