I found out I was lining up the wrong dot on the cam , so I reset the cam timing and the dizzy was 180 off so I pulled it and reset it on #1. Tried to start it and it still only backfires. Could there be something wrong with the ignition box? Its a 77 Porsche 924 NA for those who don't know.I couldn't find my old thread for some reason _________________ I don't have an attitude problem you're just an asshole! |

When you reindexed the cam belt, did you redo the wiring order.Bring up the #1 piston to top dead center (compresion stroke)and then pop off the dist cap and look at where the rotor is pointing. If the rotor is correct check the wiring and make sure its wired in the correct direction the dist.rotor turns. _________________ Doco "where am i going and why am i in this handbasket"author unknown
