|
|
Hi guys,
The solenoid valve for a 924 NA is no langer available.
Do you know if there are any replacement parts available?
PET-numbers: 477 133 539 B of 477 133 539 C or 477 133 525 D
I'm suspecting that my solenoid valve is the cause of my warm start problem. Because the system keeps the pressure if I block that. |

I found reference online to an interchange number for a PIERBURG 7.21233.00.0. Maybe try searching for one of those? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Unfortuanally that part is also not available. I did a quick search on the internet and it is unavailable, also my supplier doesn't have it...
Any idea's about how te fix this? Or if one has a 100% correct part I'm also interested |

I have very few parts for normally aspirated cars. You should check with Grenadiers to see if he might have one of these in his parts bin. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I got an answer from Duncan, he says that these guys could possible check the valve: http://www.kmipetrolinjection.co.uk/index.htm
So I'll try to contact them within a few days to ask if they can help. But if someone has this part available I'm still interested |

I sent them nearly all components to check
-wur
-aav
-injectors
-distributor (second hand one I bought from a forum member of the dutch 924 forum "in good working order", which meant the piston was completely stuck in the bore)
They rebuild the distributor, one injector (of the 8 I sent) was slightly out of spec, and also the wur contained a metallic shaving that prohibited it from properly closing.
They told me that in their experience the solenoid was a very common cause of the hot start problem, so I replaced it too. _________________ 1983 NA Alpineweiss since 2001

Thanks for your replies!
Because it looks like the solenoid is very difficult to find I mailed them about the solenoid. Hope that they can help me! |

Unfortunally: "The Solenoid valve is not a part I stock and I have no test for this part."
So this tip isn't the solution for my problem... Any idea's left? |

Nice find!
I had my solenoid valve tested by someone in The Netherlands (with pressuregauge etc.), it showed that my valve was correct. So I'll continue my search this weekend to the real problem. |
