Looks good if you only want one color and it's satin. There is a related thread over on RL with 10 pages worth of discussion, and one of the issues appears to be that their "clear" doesn't work well on top of the satin plasti-dip to give a gloss finish. It might have been applicator error, but I'd be a bit concerned about that. If there was a better way to do two-tone paint, I would consider it on the D-Prod, but conventional masking does not appear to work well for creating a clean break line between the colors. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

So I ordered some plasti dip:
1 can of black
1 can of glossifier (clear coat like)
1 can of smoke (not tested yet)
I did a little test this morning and here’s the result
I put 5 coat of black and 3 coat of glossifier
The edges are lifted because of the tape I put down for masking
It is easy to peel of and leave no mark after
The feel is really rubber ish on the matt black but not too bad with the glassifier.

i dont like the glossifier thing..its like you have a bad paint job.
The simple black one looks nice but i wonder if it traps humidity beneath it. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I wonder if the car will go faster or get better mileage. It the dimples on a golf ball that give it its range. And didn't the Olympics ban the dimpled Speedo swimsuit? Hmm....secret race car paint???? _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA
