Hi,
The first thing you should check is if you're not leaking any air.
So check the hose from the airintake to the throttlebody, check the carter breather hose and things like that.
Because the car really doesn't like that.
What I hear from you is that your car is tuned fine when Idle, so then fuel/air mixture is fine, when there is more air or fuel added it goes wrong. _________________ 911SC - 1980 |

Well the vacuum is fixed as far as i think.i took the cis off to clean and the arm moves free and i cleaned that so it moves even better now but what i noticed is the fuel part were the injecter lines aare the part its like a button that the arm pushes up sticks reaally bad. Sorry i dont know the names of the parts very well first time ever seeing this type of fuel system let alone workin on one _________________ 96 trans am ws6 clone, 02 active autowerke stage 2 bmw 330ci, ls6 swap silverado, 78 porsche 924 |

Does the plunger move at all? If it does then let it come down a little bit and pull it out of the fuel distributor, have something ready to catch fuel as there will be quite a bit.
What usually makes it stick is if there has been fuel sitting in the dizzy for quite some time and the varnish has gummed it up. What you can do is clean the plunger very well with a lint free cloth and some carb cleaner (or non chlorinated brake cleaner). Spray a good amount of carb cleaner up into the fuel dizzy to try and get the varnish out. keep cleaning until the plunger moves up and down freely without any sticking.
Do not take apart the fuel dizzy, they are very hard to clean and get back together so that they do not leak. You can try if you want, but I was disappointed when I tried to rebuild my first one.
If you get the car running after cleaning the plunger, I would say run a bottle of fuel system cleaner through it and that may help things out.
Good luck.
