|

Hi all. My 1988 924S seems to be a bit lumpy/ surging on idle when cold, its not really bad but think it may start to get worse. Any ideas.
Also i should really change the cambelt. It was done in 2001 and had both belts and tensioner but has only covered 15,000 miles.
Does anyone have any good fitting instructions or a link as the Haynes manual is a load of S*?T. |

Lumpy idling is often the Idle Control Valve, situated in the most awkward place under the inlet manifold! Belts on the 924S/944 are everyone's nightmare, perceived wisdom is "if in doubt, change them". The 924 Haynes does not cover the S, you need the 944 manual also. Another excellent source is here http://www.clarks-garage.com/ shop manual. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic
