Just bought this 924 81' last summer and she turned out to be a real barnfind from sweden. I paid a little bit over 500€ for her, I didnt even know how she looked like when I went there the owner just said she has glassfiber bodykit and send some crappy pics from it(just near pics from the cracks). Only thing I knew when I went there that it had 15'' Compomotive TH 3-piece split wheels on her, that was enough for me because just the wheels cost over 3 times the cars value, heres a link that i found this guy sold his exact same setup wheels for 3000$ for 3 years ago http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4687803-FS-15x7.5-15x8.5-Compomotive-FH500-with-new-federal-165-50-s-uber-rare!!. Obviously the owner didnt know what he was selling ... heres some pics of her

The front bumber is from 951 but the rest is mystery. Does anyone the manufacturer of this bodykit?
Thanks advance! _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:

Ummh Im not sure yet what im going to do with this one propably going to fix all the glassfiber cracks and make a racer out of it. I would like to keep it with four lug but then its a must to get disc brakes in the rear, wich means combining parts.. The reason why to keep it 4 lug is to get the compomotives on without spacer adapters, I've measured that I need to get 6" lips on the rears and put the lips that sits in the rear wheels in front so wheels would sit properly near the fenders, specs on the wheels would be then: rear: 15x11" et around -40 and front: 15x8,5" et -10 _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:

Stumbled across this in an attempt to organize my 80s German Tuners and Kits folder;
Well… yeah, it's a real mess!
Sorry it took me this long _________________ Porsche 924 NA 1982 LY7A/A3A3 _ Greater driving pleasure never harmed anyone. |

No problem at all! The main thing was to find out the manufacturer and you did! It seems that this bodykit is pretty rare huh? _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:

I remember back in the beginning of the 1990's this bodykit was the coolest thing on the 924, in my opinion. The only problem here in Denmark is that you will have to pay a large amount of tax, when the body kit is installed. This is because the car has changed identity. Back in those days, it was quite a lot of money. It was not enough to pay for a 944 though, since they were extremly expensive at that time.
I don't know how much tax it will cost today, but I don't think anybody here in Denmark installs these bodykits anymore, since the 944 is not that expensive today.
But some of the rebuilt cars still drive around, and one with this bodykit is for sale these days.
