1988 - 924S Driverside mirror fell off in the garage - not sure what is involved in this repair. If you can provide info I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

The glass only, or the whole flag assembly?

The internal part of the mount is on the inside of the doorskin with a small sub-frame with threaded holes. The motorised mirrors have a much more substantial mount than the non-motorised mirrors, but either way, it sounds like a screw gave way. It could be a stripped or worn thread or a rusted screw.

For access, you need to take the door card off and wind the window down. You should be able to then see what to do to fix it.

Wade.
