Sitting here waiting for a tow to arrive and have nothing better to do than post how shitty i am right now, my other car (the daily driver) has done a big end bearing, so in the effort of getting a car to drive to work next week i worked all yesterday to get the p car drivable again. Now i have some nasty noise coming from what sounds like the trans (but on the left side??).
Basically
Clutch out nuetral its noisy
Clutch in nuetral noise goes away

Any experts want to take a stab at what's gone wrong?
Stu

Torque tube coupler or bearings?

Input shaft bearings in the transaxle?

Either way sucks mate.

Could be worse, could have burned yourself on your exhaust after it fell off, on the way to work, while trying to put it back on. Yeah, that hurts.

That's why you're supposed to car pool. That way your passenger can pick up the exhaust bits that fall off and they can get burned. At least that's how it happened with me.

The best part? Stopping on the bridge into DownTown and having bicyclists stop and tell me that the exhaust is dragging. Like I'm going to hop out to fix it in the middle of one of the business bridges in town....

Good grief, Stefan! If it's any consolation, my legs look just like your arm, but I got my burns lying in the sun on a beach. I think that's a better way to get 2nd degree burns...

Step 1: Lay in some lavender oil.

Step 2: Have wife or significant other gently massage oil into burn.

Yeah, the next day looked much worse.

Anyway, a week later and it is looking much better. Some Melaleuca oil and some antibiotic ointment and I'm almost back to "normal" aside from the ugliness on my arm where the skin has peeled, etc.

Last Thursday was national IPA day and Sunday was National Beer day. So, cheers!
