Jeremy Clarkson famously hates 911s (and he's not the only one... )

No need to be hatefull......one has to wonder why the 911 has remained so unchanged for so many years......the car delivers. If you can drive it properly, it will reward you....they are not tossable like the 924 or the 944, but if you get it right...there is nothing like it...why have the won so many championships?

On to Clarkson. I am a huge fan of TopGear, but I do think that Clarkson has an unfounded hatred of the 911. I mean, in the beginning of the video posted, he stated that the car doesn't handle well at all, but did he even put in a touch of counter steer? Nope......wasn't even giving the car a chance to impress him. And all of the dials make sense, they honestly do, but you have to think about what they designed the car for in the first place....why is the tach in the center position...so you can see the damn thing while you are carving up the mountain roads or on the track, that is what it is designed for, driving! All of the important controls for driving the thing are at a hands reach, and in very good positions.

Perhaps someone should destroy one of his beloved lambos or a 458 Italia since he loves those so much.

Long live the 911...no matter what Clarkson thinks

Cheers,

Ian

Ill do it, ill trash 1\what he loves , in the spirit of south park let me at his toys. I 4 1 was blown away when he ran into the building, & the side swipe, brick thru the window followed by his foot and the big drop, what
a jerk.

Remember that that video dates from no later than very early (new) Top Gear.

In the TV show, he readily gets stick from the other two if he gets too anti-Porsche, especially from Hammond. In fact, both May and Hammond actually own Porsches, which is probably the most comprehensive slapdown they could deliver to Clarkson.

More, he will drive them on the show. And somewhere around series 11 he does a really good review of a modern 911 and is forced to admits he's found one he actually likes.

Wade.

It's all a front; it's all a show; just for TV; not to be taken seriously; nothing to do with real life; Clarkson's a clown!

To think this whole time I thought they were driving real cars. So disappointing.

lol!

Interesting rear spoiler on that car... Mounted on the fixed body, not the hatch. Has anyone seen that sort of thing before...?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/230781860597?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

$137.50 + shipping from Marietta, GA, in the US. From our "friends" in Atlanta, so it would be worth looking elsewhere to actually purchase....
