Hello All! Me and my family had to relocate for work reasons, and so have not seen my US spec 924 for 3 whole months... Thank god my dad is helping to maintain it while i`m away for i dont know how long?? Thats the bad news for me. But the good news for me is that he found a set of Euro spec bumpers. I am aware that the mounting is different, and so will have a bodyman help with that as well.

924`s over here are pretty rare, so i really have very difficult or no access to any 924 (euro or US). So may i ask if anyone can recommend good pics on the web that can show me how the bumpers are suppose to look (the position) in relation to the car? Ideally i would like measurements for some areas of the bumper relative to the front and rear of the car.

I am lucky to have several days to spare this week to go see my car and the bumpers (and hopefully have it installed), as after that i will have to wait a few months to see my car again. Your soonest help will be appreciated! Thanks again! patrick

the front and rear mounting brackets are not adjustable. Basically, you unbolt the US bumpers, remove the shocks, and install the rigid Euro brackets, and the bumpers to them. You're done. As far as I know, the front bumper really requires a Euro set of front fenders. The US version requires a plastic 'filler' piece to fill in the gap between bumper and fender. Here they are on a US car:

Well, looking at the front, doesn't seem to have much of a gap. These were on my previous car.

There's no need for Euro fenders, the sheet metal work is identical, the only difference is the location of the side markers. As Dave indicates, on the US fenders, there is a small rubber piece attached to the trailing edge of the bumper that makes up the gap between the fender and the bumper. Similar on the rear bumper; on the US model, there is a rubber piece that makes up quite a large gap, maybe 6" or so, between the rear quarter and the rear bumper. Simply remove this when you remove the US bumper.

The ideal solution as Dave describes is to get the Euro bumper mounts. If you don't have these, you will need to fabricate something. You could toy around with collapsing the bumper shocks, but I'm pretty sure the ends of the shock are too thick to fit into the grooves where the Euro bumpers mount.

But once you solve the mounting problem, there really isn't any adjustment or body work required, they're pretty much straight bolt-on.

Grenadiers & Ideola-
Thanks for the pics guys! Actually my bumper shocks were already collapsed and the brackets modified, and i dont have the euro bumper mounts anyway, so homemade brackets are in order.

Without having seen what it looks like with my US bumper removed i suppose i will just have the bumpers pushed in until there are no visibly large gaps. Thanks Again!
