Has anybody just hooked the 2 ends together and left it? Did mine today and went for a ride, I may be hallucinating, but it seemed to run and idle a little better.

This thing has been idling like junk lately, fearful of stalling when warm, damn sure can't run the AC at idle. Got stuck in a horrendous traffic jam yesterday, 40 min for a 5 min trip over a bridge.

I was sweating bullets the whole time, hoping it wouldn't overheat or stall. It did OK, brakes were starting to feel spongy though, idle real rough too.

Here's the bridge, 6 lane concrete monster with no break down lanes.

A little bird told me that it shouldn't really matter, bypassed or not, well I guess it would if the thing isn't working correctly. And these devices were possibly only on the 81 and 82 NA.

I had only a short test yesterday, will see how it goes on my next long drive. Hopefully not in a traffic jam.

I have left mine in bypass for a year now with no problems, I even run the AC continuously.

Thanks oldman, I didn't think it would be an issue, just wanted to be sure.

I haven't ran it with the AC yet, I may need to do some adjustments, I would guess.

Hopefully I can cure this annoying exhaust leak soon, have to drop the whole thing to really fix it.

Otherwise it's been running and accelerating OK, haven't had too much stuttering and bucking lately either.

That's OK, getting the AC to run and engine to idle at the same time was only for 'extra credit'.

Haven't had a whole lot of time to tinker with it, and I don't mind sweating a little as long as it runs good.

Temps here have been in the mid 90's with humidity levels to match, she doesn't care too much for that or anything less than 93 octane.
