Hello all,
I am brand new here and have been a Porsche nut for many years now. In 2007 I finally was able to get one (1999 Boxster) and I love it and drive it all the time.
Now I want to find a cheap 924 that I can make my first DE/Teack car yet still make it street worthy. I am looking for sub 1200 and I know that will get me into something that will need quite a bit of work but I am capable of it.
Today I went to look at a 1982 that is in need of a lot of resto as it was tracked (no roll cage surprisingly). It was white, needs a complete interior, dents removed, fuel pumps, body seals, reprint, etc. allegedly the electronics work, recent new shocks, clutch and torque tube rebuild. AC was removed though but I don't care abut that personally.
Surprisingly it has little to no rust.
The seller is asking a reasonable price based on what else I've seen and looks like interior parts are too expensive at all. Hopefully I can make this work it or find something else soon if I want to start DE next year.

That should be a cheap car, less than 750 bucks. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Not so surprising... 82's were fully galvanised, to the best of my knowledge. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

You might consider expanding your search to include a 924S. . .way less parts hassles than a 2.0. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Rasta is right about the parts hassle. I often receive parts for a 924S when I order parts for my 2.0 at the local FLAPS. However, the 2.0 is pretty easy to work on. _________________ 1978 924 NA
