One of the things that I noticed when I picked up my 924.... is that none of the illumination worked for any part of the dashboard. I decided to pull the gauges today (partially to check the bulbs and also to check look in to making some digital gauges). Below is what I found... a nice tangle of melted wire. It appears that the illumination power wire as a whole is bubbled and crispy... and a few other wires are similar but not as bad. Oh wells, good things I was planning on doing a re-wire anyway!

Someone may have put the wrong lamps in the cluster, trying to get more illumination on the gauge. Drew too many amps and melted things maybe? _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |
