Shipping internationally can be a real pain, and **very** expensive.

Believe it or not, last time I went overseas, I think USPS was most cost effective and had the least paperwork. Good luck with it.

USPS international priority has like a maximum length of 60" on the longest dimension.

You'll probably end up paying ~$75 no matter what though..

If you know someone that has a business account with UPS the charges are discounted a lot. At my work we just had a stainless cabinet that was in a box that was 22" x 30" x 44" and weighed 75 pounds shipped from our facility on Mexico to Chicago next day for $54.

2 yrs ago I used my work to ship a G31 transaxle from the UK to chicago anf the charge was $87.

x2 to V8, it shouldn't have to be someone in US, someone you know in AU with an account. I tneeds to be fairly large as small timer me never got much of a discount. If delivery speed is not an issue getting to someones container is by far the cheapest. If you can find someone who imports alot from US they probably get containers, check with the major race car suppliers, ie the NASCAR like Holdens etc.

Got it. News via UPS is horrible ($800+), USPS slightly better if chopped into pieces. Might be better off having someone bring it on the plane.

Thanks Rasta, yep, was thinking of cutting the larger piece into two, unless you think 3 pieces is a better option,
Let me know what box dimensions you think you can cram it in to,
Cheers

I don't think it should be cut. It may have a fiberglass core as you said, but there is something foamy/squishy under the finish that will A) cut poorly and B) be very difficult to repair, IMO.

I would keep looking for "creative alternatives."
