I took the "new to me" 924 out on to Summit Point this Sunday. Learned a few things, lot's to do this winter.
Special thanks to Alex Polimeni and Daniel Marple for the pics.

In another thread, everyone is showing off cool garages. I'm in the process of tearing down my old two-car garage so that my wife gets a bigger kitchen and mud room. (destruct pics in a couple weeks)
I've discovered that 30 years worth of accumulated parts stuffed to the rafters in the old garage won't fit in the new 6 car garage loft. So now I'm forced to sell on Pelican, e-bay and Craigslist. But first I have to clean the parts....yada yada yada.
While I'm making the money to build the 924, my spare time is reduced to below zero. Sounds like more excuses.....
I should be back in business after Christmas and now that Hayes has his car for next year, I'd like to get mine done to join him. There's some nasty VWs and Hondas in IT-B that need a whoopin'.

If y'all have a toofa get together at Summit, ya better invite me!!
Oh yeah, DIBBS on the parts. Not sure what parts but dibbs on the parts. |

Ole #53 is looking good out there! I dug through some old photos and got some nice 8X10 shots of the car from Hyperfest in 2005 that I will give to you when we meet up eventually. You can see bunch of more photos of your "new to you" car right here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29527169@N08/tags/flagmotorsports/page47/ Just keep scrolling through the higher the page numbers - more of the 924's.
We have hundreds of racing related photos but tpage 47 on Flickr includes Vaughan Scott racing this car with us at Watkins Glen in 2003. The cars were running like sh%t that day but we had a lot of fun getting to know some other 924 racers.
A few years later Vaughan came out to NJMP to run in a 3 hr enduro with me in my 944. That was a lot of fun too!
Can't wait to see the old race car, Hayes!

Actually - Ryoji, Jason and I drove the #35, not the #53... (there's a photo in there, they're all mixed up)
There's also a few pics of us together at Mid-O for the GTS Challenge race some years back... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Oops I forgot, that's right. I think Ryoji jumped in #53 at the end to finish and I think we lost 2nd gear in that car. Anyway it was all fun racing those 924's at Mid-Ohio, Summit, Watkins Glen, and Pocono. Wished there were more of us out there to play with. Now that NJMP is online, I bet there isn't any reason to use brakes at all at Lightning in the 924. And Vaughn would still be faster than me! _________________ Jeremy "I'm Faster than My Dad" Jadczak
