I should know what this is, I have one in a pile of tin in my garage, but the brain is not working.

Similar to the Aluminium heat shields - sit in lower engine bay of 932s to protect RHS engine mount and pedal box area.
Maybe this is a n/a version? _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW

heat shield of the exhaust downpipe. it connects to the starter stuff iirc.
edit: ooh bonus points. I actually had it on my car and re-installed it when I rebuilt the engine. Heat shields have a purpose  _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)
