I've tried a number of different steering wheels on my 931 but never found anything I am totally comfortable with. Right now I am back to the stock 4-spoker which is about the best of the bunch I have tried so far but the boss is not in the middle of the wheel - who thought that was a good idea! Next best was a slightly smaller wheel, 13" IIRC, but it did not have any offset (dish) and was too far away. I'm thinking that a smaller deep dish wheel might be the answer but thought I'd get a few opinions first before I buy yet another one. Has anybody tried one of these? I prefer a legs out, arms bent driving position and preferably one where I can actually get my knuckles past my legs when I turn a corner. _________________ 1981 931 series2 Euro spec |

There are column spacers available for the common aftermarket wheels (Grant, Momo/Lecarra, etc) that way an aftermarket wheel with not much dish can be moved closer to you.
Some of the "vintage" or "classic" style wheels tend to have more dish to them, but may not fit your style/preference.
You might also look at aftermarket wheels for water ski/power boats, sounds off I know, but some have pretty decent dish to them and can be rather nice looking. The issue may be overall diameter may be too small though.
Just some thoughts. _________________ Stefan
