I have checked out everything but upon start or restart from >1hr it idles rough and low RPMs untill you give it a bit of throttle and rev it a few times than it acts fine. Upon restart it always idles at 800 or so and then climbs to 950 or so.
To the point, while messing with it, i disconnected the Lambda sensor and the RPM's dropped around 100 from 950 to 800 or so.
I had thought when the car was at idle it operates in open loop, no lambda control.
Is this normal?
Actually how i found it is that I had the idle stabilizer disconnected and the two plugs connected, and it died the first time when i disconnected the lambda sensor, thats when i connected back up the idle stabilizer and Lambda sensor, restarted the car and then disconnected the lambda sensor and noticed the rpm drop.
I know my micro switches are adjusted correctly both top and bottom, i have tested the resistance on them back to the plug at the firewall.
If this is not normal, where next do i go, the Kjetronics box?
What does the Lambda sensor adjust, (what valve or sensor and where is it located?)
All the normal stuff has been verified to work
cold start valve, Vacuum leaks, Plugs, wires, TTS, WUR, dist cap, rotor, timing, micro switches, mixture, new lambda sensor, fuel pressure (pump press, cold, warm, leakdown all in spec), injectors.
I think the lambda sensor is trying to contol the mixture upon restart and until the sensor warms up again and provides the correct voltage it idles low. _________________ TheBib |
