I'm in the process of rebuilding my 79 924 and did a complete tare down of the interior.
I'm am now in the process of cleaning and replacing any broken parts.
A lost of the air/heater system is using this grey foam stick on. On my car this foam turns into Dust the second I touch it and I'm left only with brown glue that smells bad.
Do you guys think I should replace all of that foam with something from the hardware store or just leave it bare plastic.
I understand that some places use this foam for joints and plan on putting some back a those places but found out yesterday that there is a big block off place inside the heater that had this foam on. I'm debating on opening the entire thing and putting back foam or jut cleaning it and leaving it without.
Let me know what you think _________________ 1979 924 NA |

You can use thick weatherstripping from homie ds.
You can also use the soft black tube windshield seal.
I've seen both but I use weatherstrip. Don't just leave it. An sealed box works like crap. _________________ 81 931
