sadly I bumped up the front end of my 87 924S
Just wondering whether getting the parts from a 1979 924 will work? I need a hood, two lights, and the front bib.

Lights and hood can come from a 944. . .might be easier to source. And in answer to your question, early 924 parts should work (or be easily modified to work) as well.

924 and 944 parts cars go up for sale more often than you would think. Some times you can get them as cheap as 500-700$ depending on the price you may pay for some body parts, if you have the garage space, it may cost you as much for a parts car as it will for the front end. Then not only will you have the body pieces you need but you will have a whole car worth of spare parts as well.

Best of luck
dave

Agreed. The cheapest 944 parts car I bought was in mint condition with a broken timing belt. The owner was asking 500 and I gave 350.
