Anyone catch Top Gear last night??
Despite the fact that it sucks compared to the UK version...the assholes disrespected the 924 during the review of the Panorama. _________________ 1976 924

monkey see monkey do...the UK guys kinda bashed on the 924 once...but with a decent amount of respect...as they've used one(and it's bigger brothers)...and besides saying that it is slower than the 944...they didnt really say many bad things about it...cuz there arent
so i'm guessing that the US bottom gear monkeys saw that as an oportunity to act funny
UK top gear mentioned that it was the only car not to break down during the "challenges"
they said it has the engine from a van....even if true, thats not that bad
whatever they throw at the 924 it still looks, drives and performs as reliable, cheap, easy to maintain, today. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I'd take a 931 over most Porsches except the 930 and the 928. _________________ 1981 931 (Canadian car)

sbarc,
Just imagine a turbo 928.....
You need to come over to the mainland and see it once I have it in.
I also have new billet camshafts. _________________ 3 928s, |

Didn't the '24 win the challenge on the UK version?
US Slop Gear is a bunch of goobs anyway. _________________ I got nothin'

Nope, lost it badly because Hammond couldn't sell the damned thing after he "customized" it. What a Pikey.
It was, however, the most reliable, it did get the best mileage and it wasn't that much slower than the 944 around the track.
Jeremy won after he parted the 928 out and then converted the front seats and engine block into living room furniture (really who wouldn't want a V8 block as a table with a pair of power Pasha seats for their living room?) and sold them for a tidy profit. _________________ Stefan

Hammond would have won if he spent his custom money on a suspension and brake refresh, instead of on boy-racer mockery. I guess they just couldn't have the lowly 924 showing up the other cars.
And as far as American Top Gear is concerned... its sucks and should be cancelled. _________________ 1981 931 CGT replica, OEM CGT intercooler, .8 BAR WG spring, GTS Headlights, Innovative Wide band A/F, A/C delete, 16" Fuchs, Weltmeister 200lb lowering springs, Bilstein HDs front, Koni Sport rears. |

They haven't had new episodes in several months, I think it got replaced by Larry the Cable Guy. _________________ 81 924 N/A
