I am wondering in which year Porsche started galvanizing the bodies on these cars. I have done several searches and responses seem to vary, but the general consensus is around 1980 with earlier cars having a galvanized tub from the waist down. Is the cutoff 1980 however? Will a 1980 931 for example (as I have found one of these for cheap) have a fully galvanized body, or only portions? Does anyone have any documentation or from the factory service manuals regarding this? I cannot seem to find a definitive answer.
