I saw a ad on gumtree early today about parts for the 924 and called the guy up and went to pick it up 2 hours later
I got
1 Short engine ( lower part ) needs a head
1 5Spd Gearbox + Diff
2 Front shock , A arms and complete brake 4 lug brakes on them
1 Altenator
1 Starter
1 Oil pump
1 Water Pump
1 Rear Hatch
1 Clutch + Pressure Plate
1 Targa Sunroof
All that for $100
and about $50 On fuel
What will i need to complete the head , I want to do this one euro spec , as far as i know euro Spec is more Hp. Then convert this to EFI and try SuperCharging it. Ideas?
Thanks _________________ 924 1982 N/A

Euro spec has more compression ratio (and more timing), which is not always compatible with supercharging (can work with a turbocharger and lower boost pressure levels).
I think you get to build a high-compression motor OR supercharge it, not both.
My car will have forced induction, which is why I left it with low compression and throttle bodies that are way, way too big (45mm). While I prepare the heavy breather for it, I'll have a dog of a car to poodle around in and dial in the tuning. _________________ Stefan

Um, a head? Not quite sure what you're asking there..?

You're in luck. You're in Australia. They're all "Euro" spec. 9.3:1 compression, if I'm not mistaken. That's probably too high to supercharge/turbocharge safely at boost levels any higher than a few psi. But you'd have to ask the experts to be sure. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
