To all,
I have an original 1980 931 and I'm trying to replace the original knob and boot.
Can some one tell me how to get the original knob off of the shift lever?
I tried pulling like hell,,,,,,,,didn't work. _________________ Jim Baldwin

Pull the boot up all the way then on the lower section of the knob is a c-clip that holds the knob in a notch. Then pull like hell. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Thanks for quick reply.
I was concerned about pulling to on the boot, I might want to put it back on some day. I thought better safe than sorry. _________________ Jim Baldwin

With a face like mine, not much harm can be done. _________________ Jim Baldwin
