got the parts to do the swap from the damper to a clutch disc set-up (as seen here) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-924-944-968-technical-forum/488705-dreaded-automatic-transmission-rattling-question.html
i have a used disc from a 914 in my parts bin. the diameter is right, but i'm wondering if there is anything else to consider since it will act as a permanent clamp and won't need to disengage.
i suppose i could take everything apart and see how it bolts up, but the job will need to be done in one day due to garage space.
on a related note, should i replace the rear main seal while i'm in there? no evidence of it leaking, but if it's an easy thing to do, i'm thinking i might as well.
