Is it possible, smart, advisable to take apart the throttle housing, for example to get the exterior bead blasted?
I can remove the one nut on the butterfly axis, but the rest remains frozen together.
Thanks and cheers,

Yes, it's possible, and not that big of a deal. I had to do some disassembly and re-assembly when I converted my late NA throttle body over to the big bore Audi unit. I've also torn down and rebuilt a couple of the S2 931 units.
I would recommend taking good photos of everything before you disassemble it, however, so that you have a good reference for putting it back together, especially with respect to how the springs and levers are supposed to be arranged. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

How did you remove the linkage from the axis and how did you remove the actual butterflies from the axis?
The linkage is seriously stuck. I used moderate force without success on a RHD unit I bought erroneously, but for my own I have to be more careful.
I am very curious...
Cheers,
