I highly recommend visiting the museum. What I'd recommend even more is touring the factory (if you can get in!).
The one thing that kind of pissed me off there though was that they have a library of all their records for all to see, but you can not go in it. I was hoping I could go in there and find out what my car came with new...

You may contact Porsche NA and get a Certificate of Authenticity which will give you the information of what options were added to your car, costs about $110.00 if I remember correctly.
