|
Thanks to AGD931, more converted/transfered content has been added to the 924.org development site:
http://www.iribbit.net/i/924org/diyp_roofantenna.cfm
Find out how easy it is to help rebuild the site you love, just ask him.
Find more instructions on tasks that we need help with by visiting:
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=16565
(making this a sticky will show appreciation to those who help -as I note contributions- and hopefully encourage others who have the time to pitch in to do so - thanks)
EDIT: Thanks for making this a sticky. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

|
|
Ok, I hope this will stimulate some interest that will last longer than it takes to read this post . . .
I have added two exciting features to my 924.org development site.- site search - this will prove to be very powerful when all the tutorials, guides, etc. are in the site - give it a try . . .
- press releases - I LOVE rss feeds, and Porsche USA has one for their press release. I've incorporated their feed into my development site. I, for one, feel this is really cool since the content will change whenever they have a new press release - without anyone having to do anything. Thus, the new 924.org site will have historical content that we have provided as well as new information to kepe us up to date with Porsche news:

Skemcin, I think the staged upgraded site looks fantastic. I, for one, have not lost interest in seeing this move into production. Do you have an updated list of "to dos" or "action needed" as far as collecting, creating, updating content???
Great work! keep it up. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Great work! keep it up. | Thanks for the reply and interest.
All I ask is that anyone who wants to help do two things:- review the new navigation and understand how things are being reorganized.
- gather the content from the existing site and organize it accordingly - one word document for each topic addressed - attach images and put [figure 1a] in doc.
I just need the content neatly collected (like a three ring binder) so that I can find a place for them in the new home. Just like I did with the Models & History section. Stuff is all over the place (no offense to original developers) on the current site, and I just copied-n-pasted the content into word - organized it - took the first person references out and I was done playing that role.
Some of the links in the original post have the assignments laid out, here they are:
i've gotten this far:
http://www.iribbit.net/i/924org/
here is some history on where we are:
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=15357
and here is a post for some work that I coudl use help with:
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=15395
thanks again - please feel free to contact me if any more clarification is needed.

For anyone else, I could really use some help tackling the Troubleshooting section. In the current site, the "TECH" section needs to be organized as do the FAQs - again, at the very least, I just need the content copied and pasted into a word document with no formatting except paragraph breaks and bullet points. Pull the images out and and just put reference points to them.
Thanks,
