Is there a purpose to having that many? Do you occasionally feel the need to drive around in a very similar car which is just much slower, has a slightly worse ride and slightly worse handling, and has a more crappy interior?
(Cool car, I'm jealous) _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I cant diss the 924. It is the reason the 944 and the 951 exist, plus it is simpler to maintain and cheaper to fix, so it serves a legitimate purpose to me. why do I have so many? They are my crack. _________________ 87 924s

After some more checks of its vitals I opened this car up a bit on the road and it is considerably fast. I noticed that the PO has the boost set at 17PSI. Tomorrow I will check to see if this thing is chipped. Also the turbo spools at lower rpms. My black 951 gets full boost from 3000+ rpm, where this white beast can achieve over 13 psi before it even gets to 2500 rpm!

I may take some better ones late in the weekend. Right now I am so swamped with work that it is dark any time I am near the car. I am still relatively new to turbos and am wondering why it gets such terriffic boost at low rpms. My first thought was turbocharger, but shining a light down at it, it appears to be a plain old k26-6. I am wondering if there is more to the build to this motor than meets the eye? _________________ 87 924s

The funny thing with these cars is that once you have a few of them, people seek you out wanting to sell their to you. Between me and my dad we have 1 924, 2 931, 5 944, 1 944S, and a 951 and we have people coming up about once a month trying to get us to buy their car. We've actually sold some of our collection off and and some of them people gave to us for fee just because we seem to be crazy about them. _________________ 1980 924 NA

The drivers side head light was sitting kind of low as the bolts holding the linkage on that side had slipped. I have since leveled it.

You should bring her along to the PacNW meet. Then I won't feel so bad about having the only 944 Turbo in attendance... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |
