The local pick and pull, or U-pull my parts, or, as it's really called, Wild Bill's Auto Wrecking, has a '83 944 Euro model on hand. I needed a driver side door latch setup, the one on Spike is cracked. Got that, fits perfectly, door works a lot better. AND, picked up a console gauge package from the nearby 924 n/a. AND, picked up the rear Euro bumper from the 944, with brackets! AND, there's that weird cooling fan switch on the 924 I pulled just out of curiosity. The 944 still has the yellow gauges with the speedo going to 260 or 280 kph if anyone is interested.

Probably throw the bumper on Pelican for 200 bucks with the brackets.

Aftermarket AC? Usually a AC knob where the tempgauge is.

Did that come out the 1983 euro dawg house?
Ones again proves never too old to learn: Sorry I was wrong Sir.
I wonder if its OEM. Does it have a part number?

Yes it seems to replace the large Center Console knob
(didn't notice the other picture)
A/C in Euroland is rather uncommon. It is/was available as an option.
The Porsche 924 writing is really odd IMO
The fonttype is allright, but putting it there is unporsche.
…I'd store it in the safe if I where you

Good question, so I checked. It has a Cutler-Hammer, made in USA, thermal switch in the back, cut in, cut out. It operates the slider switch on the bottom. Therefore, I suggest, it's an aftermarket A/C unit. The hood latch is effed up so can't get a peek underneath the hood.

You should really look into that…

And check the engine/head/ignition;
I bet you're gonna drag it all home!

Or any pics for the Ghost cars thread?
Cheers

I can blow a whole day in a junkyard and not notice the time. By the title I was hoping you found a k-27 turbo or some 4 piston brakes.

Nah, someone torched the TT to remove engine, engine mounts, all the fun stuff. Just the gauge package, and really nice hatch glass and spoiler are all left. Oh, and the 5-lug rear brakes/rotors are intact as well.

Does a 944 euro bump fit a 924? I might be wrong, but I don't think it fits on a 924, maybe modifying the bumper it might. Good find though!

The E-brake cables are quite valuable for the 5-lug setup. The long cable that came with my 5-lug setup is junk, and I can't do the conversion 'till I source a replacement.
