|
|
Anyone know of a source for a radio delete panel for the DIN stereo location?
I'm wondering if there is a factory original Porsche peice which is from other porsche cars, or if there was a specific option for an 1988 924S which could be procurred. A google search for "924S radio delete" comes up rather useless.
Also, if in fact there was a radio delete in 1988, what if anything different treatment was on the doors? Any pictures? |

Found this on VW site. The center console looks very similar to the 924 console, and I've got a pretty good feeling this would work.
A cup holder is a nice addition IMO, but I have no place to put it. With no radio, you do:

-Ford taurus tray slide+hide cup holders fit perfectly into the center console
second generation Ford/Mercury Taurus and Sables. And some Saab 9000's

no offense.. but my opinion, it looks gay.. drinking and racing don't mix.
drinking and driving a porsche don't mix either for that matter.. only my opinion. |

There must be some radio delete buckets out there? I have a factory one on my 931, a 10-15cm deep bucket that fits in the radio slot, perfect for storing your mobile phone
I havent seen so many of them, although I saw one on a swedish Carrera GT, weird to order such an expensive car without a radio.. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Looks pretty standard in the earlier 924 brochures. _________________ Porsche 924 NA 1982 LY7A/A3A3 _ Greater driving pleasure never harmed anyone. |

PET, section 809-00, callout #21 in the 924 version, callout #31 in the 944 version. CONSOLE PACKAGE BOX, part number 481.857.233.A
I actually want to order one of these for my Club Sport project. I'll check with my supplier to see if they're still available. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
