Just wondering if our 924 cars (or even 944) are featured in any driving video games?
I seem to recall a "Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed" back in maybe early 90's and I THINK it had a 924 Turbo?
Anyone know of any others?

I was hoping one would be in one of the gran turismo games, but there's only RUF cars in them, from what I saw...

I was hoping to see this too when I picked up GT5, I haven't actually looked through the RUF cars to see if there is one though.

Forza has the 944 turbo, no 924 tho. I honestly do not think it was featured in any video game. I know the Porsche unleashed did not have 924's at all, only the 944.

Perhaps a reason to hunt down this old game again...
According to Wikipedia the Playstation version has a 924. I owned the PC version and could have sworn that a 924, I thought Turbo, was an unlockable vehicle.
I recall I had to find a cheat for it though because _I_ found the game incredibly difficult to play well enough to actually unlock vehicles!

Hey I just checked out the wikipedia article about the game. From what I understand you are correct, the Playstation had a few cars which the pc game did not get. The 924 was included in the PS version.

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, Playstation version

It's in there, but I wouldn't recommend getting the PS version of the game. The PC version was much better, and is where I fell in love with Porsches

We did some hacks to create the cars for NFS on the PC version, as I recall. Been a long time since I picked any of that up - not sure I even still have any of those files around.

Most of the user-made cars were done on NFS High Stakes, not for Porsche Unleashed.

I know that the 944 Turbo has been made for HS, and that the PC version of PU has the same car in it as well. I could probably pretty easily dig up a 924 user made car, if you have High Stakes and wanted it.

Cheers, Keith

I put some 924s in the Pixar Cars comics.

I have GT5 and there aren't any Porsches on it to pick from. I guess Porsche didn't buy into the game. There is a 911 that I've seen in several races but you can't select it. It's just one of the cars on the grid and doesn't even say Porsche on it. But it's no doubt it's a 911. I was pretty bummed

I'll go digging, see if I can find anything still; all my stuff was for the PC version of NFS - Porsches Unleashed.

UPDATE: OK, I had simulations of the IT car, the IT car chassis with a Turbo motor in it, a stock 931, and my best guess at a GTR.

I didn't do any graphics modeling, only the performance itself.

However, I still haven't found the files yet...
