My new dream machine arrived with a bad case of backyardmechanicitis. One of a host of things I need to fix is to resecure the fusebox/relay board in its correct position. Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me see where exactly it goes, and the only pics of this part of a 924 I can find are of LHD vehicles which seem to have things arranged differently in this area to my RHD car. If I could just find the holes for the screws for the bracket I'd probably get there, but so far even that eludes me.

Here's the mess: http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x325/rfsnoddy/myfusebox.jpg

Any pics of how it should look or helpful advice would be much appreciated.

The fuse box goes up a bit higher above the lever to "POP" the bonnet

PM me your email and I will send a picture.

OH and welcome to another Aussie

Alan

Over here in left-hand-drive land, we got a bracket that the fuse-relay panel fits into. The bracket has a hole at its' left side, into which a fat pin on the left of the panel fits. Then at right, the bracket has a slot, and the panel another fat pin that slide together. Then a nut&bolt at lower-right as seen -

Oh - on second look, I see your bracket is down and in front of the panel in your pic.
Rust issue took it down?

Thanks for the pic Smoothie, but the board won't fit like that on the RHD version as that big black box (heater or A/C, not sure which it is) is in the way. There's no rust in the area; the board and bracket were dismounted for unknown reasons by the previous owner.

Looking forward to your pic thanks Alan.

In my RHD, the fuse box is practically on the firewall, up underneath and behind where your secondary fuse box is. And nicely in the way of that big, probably A/C box.

Wade.

My fuse box/relay board is now installed the way it should be thank you Alan, and it certainly looks much better.
Hope you enjoyed the 260 km drive - I owe you a beer!
Scorpio deserves a stern reprimand for preferring being able to afford to eat to playing around in 924s.
