Was under the hood today and discovered a part completely unbolted and it looks like it needs to be installed! On page 84 of the haynes manual bottom left corner sqaurish metal box with two metal lines and electrical connection. Mine is completely unbolted and I i cant find info on it. any help? _________________ 1979 924 N/A Not Fast, but a BLAST to drive. |

You mean the WUR?
Warm Up Regulator
aka Control Pressure Regulator by Haynes,
see picture 5.3 @ page 79.
Also paragraph 5 on page 78.

How is it unbolted?
It sticks to the backside of the intake distributor by two alan head bolts.

on page 79 image 5.3 it didnt look like his hands were near the part but the discription seems correct. looks like six bolts connect it to engine with 2 metal braided lines and the electrical connector. Funny thing is car ran and drives until yesterday. Now she wont start. all 6 bolts are missing from this part and i noticed a gap so i stuck my hand down there and was able to pull the whole part away from the engine. (OH NO..... lol) anyway if this is the warm up regulator,(control pressure regulator per haynes) will car still start with this part disconnected? car was running 2 days ago and now she wont fire. Any info on this part is greatly appreciated. I will also review posts to get more info. thanks for your help. also if anyone knows the correct bolt sizes/threads please let me know. _________________ 1979 924 N/A Not Fast, but a BLAST to drive. |

Its the wur. found identical part on ebay. Looks like its missing the top and bottom center bolts (not all 6) Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I can believe car was running without bolts holding it on. any info on bolt size to replace missing top and bottom would be fantastic. thanks for your help. 924board.org rocks. _________________ 1979 924 N/A Not Fast, but a BLAST to drive. |

PET says; Two M 6 x 32 (alan head bolt)
The other four bolts hold the box together tight.
