My brother was driving my car Tuesday night when he heard a thunk on the passenger side and it wouldn't drive anymore. After he got it towed back to my house, I took some pictures:
I believe four CV joint bolts on the passenger side hub backed out over time, the fifth one sheared and the sixth bolt bent. They are 12.9 grade bolts! _________________ Rob

Man, that sucks. Time to repack the CV joints, clean the bolts and mounting holes and apply some loctite and proper torque specs.
The grade doesn't help much if they're not properly tightened with appropriate thread locker on the clean threads.
The Stage 8 bolts just add another layer of protection as well, a good idea! _________________ Stefan
