Was looking at this porsche on ebay and the seller claims it's a 76 which according to wikipedia there was only 1 76 in the us. Is there any way to verify that this was the one or if it was shipped over at a later date. He sent me a picture of the plate that is on the driver side door and the top right it says 05/76 and what I think the vin number is 9247201788. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if it being the one would add any value or not.

You know, Wikipedia is completely editable. I just changed the page to read "1120" instead of "1".

I don't think I'd put too much stock in that as a source of info on much of anything.

Wikipedia should be considered entertainment, not factual.

Okay, I just added this, too: Models with Mocha Braun paint were said to be the fastest variants with the special color paint adding an add'l 25 horsepower.

I'll change it back in a few days.
