Hi,
just joined the forum. A couple months ago I bought a 77 924 that has a couple burnt fuel lines and some vacuum lines that need replaced. I figured I could just get it running and sell it for a profit. Butttt....I haven't been able to find any of the replacement lines so its just been sitting in my driveway. I'm currently studying automotive technology/high performance motorsports and I'd really like to get this car running. I've looked all over the net for replacements or how to remake my own lines but haven't found anything helpful. Is there a place I can find replacement lines or what should I do? |

I would imagine a decent auto parts place would be able to sell you vacuum line and fuel line. It just means putting the connectors on yourself.

Hey, welcome. The best thing to do is dump a bunch of money in it and keep it
That way you will be a part of an elite group of passionate Porsche people .
But seriously, many folks have gone to carbs and are almost giving away their CIS stuff.
I got a complete system with metal braided lines for next to nothing _________________ I got nothin'
Uhhh...you got any pics? |

Not sure you want to go that route with the fuel lines. They see some pretty high pressure. Porshe used the braided fuel lines on the 77 so you probably want to replace with the same.
If all else fails, you can find them at Performance Products and buy them individaually. But I'm pretty sure there's guys on the board who have extras. Put up a post in the Parts For Sale/Wanted area.
The vaccum lines can be sourced from local Pep Boys or whatever you have there. Since these cars are extremely sensitive (understatement) to vaccum leaks, you want to find a tight fitting replacemement. _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

Wow, I'm surprised at all the responses so quick. Ebay, Advance, and Performance products only carry lines to the injectors, which I already have. It's all the other lines under the hood that need replaced. Guess I'll post which lines I need in the other forum and hopefully someone will make an offer.
Thanks! |

You'll need to be more specific as to what fuel lines you need. Take a look at the PET and go by numbers so others aren't confused as to what you're looking for.
