All,
When I got this 79 924NA the dash and heater/ac were already out. I have no reference for the re-assembly. I have the heater in place, the fron tab goes into a slot in the firewall and I clamped the back to the dash support temporarily. My question is about the two tabs on the bottom of the heater box (the R2D2 assy). There is a place on each side to screw the heater into something.... But with the heater held in place this mounting points are about 4" about the trans tunnel. Seems like there should be some feet or a bracket. Anyone familiar with this?

If you look at this pic, you can see the retaining mechanism for the heater box. . .it is a large rectangular wire clip.
