This time the fuel return line to hard pipe connection under the vaccum booster is leaking. The hard pipe appears to be a female(cone) end with male threads and the return pipe that comes from the 12mm banjo on the dizzy(also has line to WUR?) which is obviously a replacement part is also a female end. It leaks. Having done a search I found that one of the Aussies just replaced that line with rubber fuel line as it goes to zero pressure in the tank. I tried a 5/16 copper compression fitting in between the tow ends and it still leaked. How does one cut the steel braid covered line? My other choices appear to be having a new line fabricated or buying a used one which is not too desirable due to the age. Suggestions will be appreciated.

I guess those who know better are not going to reply and I need to hurry to get to my 300th .

I don't think cutting the braided lines is a good idea, might not get a good seal.

There should be someone here with some to spare in good condition.

I got some used braided to replace my non-braided and they are in good shape.

I got it repaired. The connecting fittings are 14mm probably the 1.5 thread. Unfortunately both have female ends. I put some teflon pipe dope on the threads and it magically quit leaking. Found a picture doing a search of someone using an-AN fitting with what appeared to be pipe dope on it so gave it a try.
