http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSCHE-FUEL-PUMP-NEW-911-924-FRONT-1994-80-TURBO-/370379358511?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item563c54812f

Is this the correct fitting for a 924 N/A? My hose comes straight off the pump, not 90° like a banjo fitting would.

I'm trying to figure out if the pump I have on the shelf will fit my setup. Anyone use a pump with this configuration?

Haynes shows a pump on page 89 that uses a banjo bolt. My new pump doesn't have a bolt hole in the end to accomodate a banjo bolt.

I'm confused.

Think "banjo fitting" instead of banjo bolt (there is no actual banjo bolt involved, though the check valve fills an equivalent role). The newer setup uses a hose with a banjo fitting at its' end to connect to the pumps' outlet. The banjo fitting slips over the male-threaded check valve - actually a soft copper washer goes on first, then the banjo fitting, then another copper washer, then a closed-end nut ("banjo nut"?), "cap nut"?
[-No it's "dome nut"..]

SpecialTauto has hose, clamps and fittings to convert. -Or if you'd be nervous about assembling the high pressure fuel line yourself, I'm sure they could be persuaded to put something together for you with swaged ends, etc.
Go here <click> and do a search on 30R9 (then repeat the search to get to the second occurence of it). That should bring you to their listing for the hose, and just below that, the clamps.
Then do a search on profile to get you to the banjo fitting (pic below).
Then for the accumulator end, I'd imagine you could re-use your existing fitting there - just cut the hose and swage from it and use one of Special T's "special fuel clamps".
-And pick up a check valve while you're there if needed. It's somewhere on that same page. -And the appropriate soft metal washers (same page as well). -Oh, and a banjo nut to hold it all together (vaguely recall seeing one on the page too [search on "dome"]. Anyone happen to know if M12x1.5 is correct for this?.

I see your problem:

That appears to be a bong.

Why cant you just unscrew the fitting that comes on the pump and screw either his old fitting or an external check valve?

Is a straight-thru (non-"banjo") external check valve available?
If anyone knows, or/and knows where to get one, don't hold back.. It would greatly simplify to-'80 to 81'-up pump conversion.

Buwani: That looks like exactly what I would need to make the pump I have work. Just take the banjo out and insert this one.

Thanks for posting that!
