Last night I made out a shopping list of bits required for the newly aquired 924

The list read like this

Oil, Oil filter

Distributor cap, rotor arm, plugs

Timing belt, fan belt

Waterpump (On order)

Thermostat

Front brake pads

Front wheel bearings

Steering gaitors (On order)

Rear drums (On order)

Rear shoes (On order)

Rear cylinders (On order)

Various bits of fuel pipe and hose clips.

The front pads were rusted in so tight the calipers had to be removed to enable the pads to be twisted to aid removal with a large hammer,

The caliper pistons move well but the sliding carriers were again seized solid, no maintenance for a very long time, I do like the way everything appears to be inspired by the VW Beetle

Also include:

Vacuum line tubing

A pint of faith

A liter of luck

And if that doesn't work, plenty of mind altering sedatives to relieve the pain of utter failure.

the mind altering sedatives are a definite necessity if you have any distributor troubles.
